Live Q & A

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xHEQhhiLF4

Hi! I’m Stephanie with Linen and Line Laundry. If you haven’t yet, please go to our Facebook page after this livestream and read our post introducing ourselves. Thank you to all of you who participated through sending your questions online and to those of you viewing this event. If you are a current or returning customer, thank you for your support and if you are a new customer or follower of our page Welcome! Today. I am going to focus on our residential service and am going to do my best to address all of the information within an hour. For the sake of time, I will not be answering questions in the comment section during this video. I will however, be posting a written transcript of this information within 24 hours of the commencement of this video.

Briefly before we get started, I need to go over some legal stuff. Where the live stream and written transcript differ, the written transcript will supersede. I strive to be fair and flexible. I reserve the right to make exceptions when appropriate and adjust policies as needed.

Let’s get started

Agenda

  1. Review ordering process for online pickup and delivery. Explain both Google and Website orders.
  2. Answer questions
  3. Discuss Saturday Special

Questions from Followers;

Q. What is your service area?

A. I serve most of DeSoto County, but my system currently only allows online orders from ZIP codes 38125 and 38654. If you receive a message stating you’re outside the service area, please reach out to me directly—I’ll do my best to accommodate you! In these cases, I’ll need to place the order on your behalf.

Q. How should clothes be pepped and in what?

A. With the exception of; the Saturday special which I will review at the end, requests for stain treatment, and hang dry only items, I do not have any specific packaging or prepping requirements. You may drop off your order in a hamper, trash bag, reusable shopping bag, or whatever you have available. If you are a returning customer, I prefer clothes to be brought in your linen and line tote bag or garment bags that were purchased or provided with your initial order. I will pickup, sort, wash, dry, fold, hang, and deliver or you can stop by and see me any time during shop hours. Our shop is open M-Sat from 2-8 and closed Sundays. You may schedule online pickup and delivery 7 days a week from 8:30 am to 8pm with the exception of Sunday which is delivery only.

Q. Should hangers be included

A. Yes. Please send hangers with your order. Also, please specify in the notes or special instructions section or let me know directly which items need to be hung.

If you forget, don’t sweat it. We have some hangers in stock. They are velvet non slip and are available for $.75 each.

Q. Do you offer hang dry as an option?

A. Yes! For items that need to be hang dried, I ask that customers set them aside in a separate laundry bag or trash bag and let me know they require special care. That way, I can ensure they’re handled properly!

Q. Do you spot clean/try to treat stains? If so, at what added cost if any?

A. For stains, I inspect and spot-treat when possible, though I can’t guarantee full removal. Since it’s time-intensive and results can vary, I handle it on a case by case basis and I don’t currently charge extra. Just like hang dry items, I request that these items be packed separately with special care instructions added.

Q. What are your fees?

A. With the exception of the Saturday special, we charge $1.60 per lb for everyday clothing, activewear and towels. Additional services include our comfort care at $12/comforter and $2 per sheet set. Pickup and Delivery is FREE!

All orders will be returned with at least one complimentary garment bag. We also have Premium tote bags available for $18. Check out our retail items that would be great for kids Easter baskets. They are just $10 each and come in 4 varieties.

SATURDAY SPECIAL

Saturdays only, through Easter 2025, we are offering by the bag pricing for your everyday clothing items at just $25/bag. Bring your laundry in a 13 gallon trash bag, or reusable shopping bag (think Aldi sized) and I’ll return it fresh, clean and folded/hung.

Here is what you need to know;

1. To qualify for the Saturday special, orders must be initiated on Saturday (either through porch pickup or in-person drop-off). Orders dropped off or picked up on a different day but simply due on Saturday do not qualify.

2. To take advantage of our Saturday sale, I kindly ask that you please use one of the approved containers listed above.

This promotion has been a great success so far! Should we add it on another day of the week or maybe y’all have other suggestions? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

If you made it to the end, thank you so much. I hope I’ve done a thorough job of explaining our service. If I could offer any simplification, it would be this. I do your laundry so you don’t have to! Remember next time you see that laundry piling up, I’ll take care of it!
